Silverthorn was interested in pursuing a project that examines the role of culture in an organization’s success. The result was 1186 to Omaha, an hour-long documentary for broadcast on ESPN networks and digital distribution. The film follows the rise of University of Virginia Baseball from unknown to national champion under the exemplary leadership of Coach Brian O’Connor. The film is narrated by ESPN’s Karl Ravech, one of the most beloved and recognized personalities in Major League and College Baseball.
